This definitely feels like the US Afghan pullout situation(quick collapse after holding up the local power) except Russia is in a much more isolated and financially unstable moment.

Assad had years to consolidate power and failed. He always thought Russia or Hezbollah/Iran would bail him out after he survived the first attempt almost 10 years ago.
I don't trust these new guys,...they may have created another Libya. The celebrations mean nothing.

Curious that UAE has no problem arming RSF to the teeth and ethnically cleansing Black Africans and looting Sudan's resources but HTS is too radical for them. I think I'm going to struggle squaring that. Out of curiosity do you guys hold a positive view of the UAE and Sheikh Mohammed?

They are pieces of shyt with small man syndrome and causing unnecessary suffering to some of the poorest ppl in the word because they want to play empire.
