If that is the case the regime is militarily retarded. Because they have plenty of conventional weapons at their disposal that does worse damage than chemical weapons. You have the Russian and Iranians backing you up with serious firepower. And not only that you are already beating back the rebels. You dumb as hell risking using chemical weapons that could invite intervention.

There won’t be any intervention, at the most they risk targeted strikes that will not significantly change the military picture. There can be many reasons that explain the use of the weapons, including lack of discipline or operational control. Regardless the idea it was a self inflicted attack seems to be the least convincing explanation.

Among the people in the thread include a Syrian MP Fares Al Shehabi. He claims the fact first responders had no protective equipment is proof they were acting As I said, there is nothing sophisticated about this propaganda, just throwing as much disinformation as possible out there to confuse anti war types.
