Mary was a ghost the whole time. Which makes sense knowing the rules of Ghosts in this universe.

Now that she's back she has no memories of being a ghost.

I remember saying that the show has to end with the boys seeing their father again and I remember people shytting on me for that. But now we see the mother back so hopefully my theory holds weight again
