Fantastic breakdown. I’ll add this one, and it makes me relate to Shiv much more, because I come from a family with a lot of men as well.

Good watch. It really puts into context just how unstable Kendall is to be the flag-bearer for the company/family-name.

People are putting it all on Shiv, but I think she's as fukked-up as everyone else in the family. IMO, the only inconsistency for me is that Shiv gets caught double-dealing like 2-3x in the last few episodes and there was never a meaningful enough moment where she atoned/address her double dealing to prove her trustworthiness, so it seemed counter-intuitive for the brothers to keep putting their faith in her. Maybe that's just ignorance via underdeveloped empathy?

Also on a separate note, I'm sure most of us would side-eye any white person who watches Snowfall and then makes generalizations about black men based on Franklin, so it's disappointing to hear some of yall doing the same thing re: Shiv. And this is coming from someone who skips a strong 95% 85% of PAWG threads in TLR.

She was another terrible one note character. You don’t sense the theme?

Skylar had a good argument. Shiv is white feminism personified and in this case her entire introduction to the show was fukking over her brother basically and she ended it doing that same thing. Without breaking down her character, nobody wanted to see her get anything resembling a win. Kendall just sucked the least out of the 3.

Me saying Shiv behaved like her brothers isn’t me saying Shiv was good or anything. She is a disgusting human being. I’m just saying Kendall is probably worse since he don’t know his kids and actually left a kid to die.

Kendall showed who he was with hugging Roman the way he did. Shiv and Roman hate him.

That’s why some super successful people make their kids work for what they want- to make sure their kids develop the same fire and work ethic they had to develop to be successful.

That’s also why Logan respected Roman the most because he did that management course thing. He probably knew how to run the org but was too scared and didn’t really want it at the end.

Skylar got too much hate. As far as wives of criminals go, Carmela Soprano was way worse. Skylar thought she was marrying a chemist/HS teacher, Carmela knew all along she was marrying a gangster yet pretended she was on this moral high ground due to religion.

On top of that, she would do shyt like show off the Corvette that she didn’t buy, just to rub it in the face of a fellow mob wife who was broke. She would brag to 16 year old girls about her expensive lladros.

I didn’t see Walt for the monster he was until Hank got killed. I wished they showed the fallout from it. That was it for Walt and his family.

Not sure why. She didn’t do anything wrong. Her brothers did the same to her multiple times.

On top of that, Kendall was behaving just like their father but was too late in asserting his dominance.

As for Skylar, Walt was a drug dealer who destroyed their family, while she was pregnant.
