As he's played though, Kendall's flaw is that he's not able to really read people and move in a room, take the temperature, forge a connection with people. He knows all the corporate nonsense talk, he knows the business school bullshyt, he knows the business fundamentals, but he frequently fumbles on standard stuff, stuff that I can do, easily. Like meeting someone on a human level, without the pretenses of business or formalities.

Note: This is highlighted over and over again, as he constantly think the shareholder votes are a LOCK for him lol---it's a feature of people who don't know themselves, that they find it hard to read others accurately.

What Logan does, all his old school bluster and bullshyt, is forge a connection with people. That straight talk express, John McCain shyt, people feel like he's genuine. With Kendall, he's not comfortable in his own skin, he doesn't have confidence, he doesn't have a sense of self. And people see that. Imagine his tone deafness with the whole Season 3 ordeal, played out as he's CEO.

I like Kendall too. and I meet guys like him, who have the pedigree, have the money, but they are just kinda like shaky. Off. They don't have real confidence. My boy reminds me of him, my homie was like a CEO type, but an addict. He also got sober but like didn't do the work, or keep up with it. And he ended up dying.

fukk I am watching the end of Season 3, where Kendall is breaking down. and I used to see my boy like this too. Ashamed. But the next day he'd be on another ego trip. Also, Kendall has way more heart and conscious than his family, under all the posturing and rich guy antics.'

edit: damn, last night, I was posting, kind of stream of conscious, and then Kendall, after having a breakthrough, of sorts, just like my homie used to, went right back to the ego based "take over the company", because that's truly the only place he can feel any sense of meaning or purpose, seeking his Dad's approval. Wow.

Start as in the last season or start the whole series?
Never watched You so cant comment.

I would go House > Snowfall/Ozark > Godfather of Harlem > Your Honor> Mayor > BMF :jbhmm:
House is just 1 season and good. Snowfall/Ozark are good overall series and their last seasons are very good. Godfather's placements is based on the last seasons of the remaining three shows being kinda bad :mjlol:
The first seasons of Your Honor and Mayor of Kingstown are good though. Your Honor is some top quality TV stuff for the first season. Mayor just a whole lotta fukkery, but writing is mid. BMF is easily the worst of the 50 cent shows, but entertaining at times.

Loved the scene of Logan rallying the troops at ATN this season when he decided he was going to keep it. They played it perfectly to make you think “oh shyt, he’s gonna come say some fukked up shyt” and midway through you’re ready to run through a wall for him. I loved how the show never expressly made a judgment on whether Logan was deserving or undeserving of his vast power and wealth like they’ve done with Mattson and the kids. Literally down to his funeral they gave you both sides of that judgment.

Morgan Stanley CEO James Gorman said he had identified three potential successor to his 13-year run at the Wall Street bank. “I definitely have no plans to go out like Logan Roy,” he quipped earlier this month, referring to the Succession character’s inability to clearly pick out a successor. Gorman plans to step down within the next 12 months but stay on as executive chairman.

Dog… why show us the last scene of them in the car both looking sad as fukk. He was still “playing her”? TV doesn’t work like that. The good ones show you the truth without telling you.
If you think Tom was sad in that scene you didnt watch the finale or must be high on crack.

Tom was clearly on a mission his whole life to reach a certain level of wealth & stature that he could only attain by attaching himself to an entity that had those two things. Shiv basically says this in their balcony argument but truth is Shiv also realizes in that same argument, Tom is probably the only person in her life that actually loves/loved her fully.

Yes, Tom did love Shiv (even in clearly opportunistic pairings, there's still a level of human connection) but he knew the "job" had to be done despite her infidelity.
