Yeah its all relative really. Even some family looks at the Pierces as new money. But I get Kendall, who was born into money calling Mattson new money. Thats the bare minimum of old money, being born into it. They do have that to at least make the comment.

Roy kids come from old money(Logans). Logan is a self made billionaire, but it's from "old" stuff, regular news etc. So he and his kids would come from "old money". Just because the kids just now getting access to the billions Logan had doesnt mean they arent used to money. Pierce looks down on the kids because they really didnt earn shyt and living off their father's wealth/rep.

this is not true. old money refers to generational inherited wealth. the roy kids got their wealth from logan obviously. they haven't been inheriting wealth of a number of previous generations. the pierce family are the epitome of generational wealth. they wouldn't look down on the roys if they had simply been inheriting money. they look down on them cuz, when u actually talk to them, they quickly find out that they are uneducated, whereas many of the pierce family are scholars. this is why they were getting pissed off when roman pretended to have read books that they hadn't and shiv made fun of the one pierce dude who had 2 phd's kinda belittling his education.

True. Which I wasnt saying that they didnt have power but I dont think its comparable, nor the wealth. Pierce was posturing if I recall so while they had juice and a bag, we saw that they were actually worried about their position and we know that ultimately Logan said he would jus buy Pierce out right so we know he had a good amount more to even try and make a purchase like that.

I guarantee this show will get like a sort of open ended sopranos ending or probably end on Logan's funeral

Too many plotlines going in the background for it to all be resolved in 3- 4 eps
Roman/Kendall as CEBros
Shiv and Tom divorce
Gojo sale or deal broken
Roman spiraling out
Connor presidential run

None of this can be resolved so concretely in the next few days the show will take place over

Roman/Ken CEO thing gets resolved at the same time as Roman crashing out. Tom and Shiv arent getting divorced. But even if they did, its progressed enough to go either way smoothly right now. Connor is background, his interactions serve only to ground the other kids when they get too loose. His outcome doesnt affect anything, we just want to see Connor happy as a viewer. His character doesnt need to "win" to be happy so the resolution isnt a big deal. Gojo deal can crash out next week and we'd still have another episode to clean up the kids arcs or efven a time skip.

This all can be done in 2 episodes with no issue to pacing. Thats what good writing gets you. Its not the TLOU.

mattson is even newer money than shiv/connor/kendall/roman, but to me both are new money. both are NOT like the pierce family, where none of them work and they simply live off the family fortune that's been handed down to all of them.
