I forgot about the teacher and nurses debt cancellation

PSLF Forgiveness is long overdue. There will probably be $100 billion forgiven just cause of the waivers they have put out. It's good work.

They still need to do what they promised on broad cancellation they know damn sure Congress ain't gonna pass no new bills. And the Higher Education Act of 1965 gives them the powers they're using right now to cancel other federal loans...

Give current borrowers credit for all interest paid and charge it directly to the principle

lower the interest rate and make it fixed

let everyone get PSFL and lower the people that currently qualify to 60 payments

Force colleges to change the prices of majors by lowering how much you will lend based on major.

The student loan pause was one of numerous measures that were taken during the start of the pandemic. Every thing that was halted has resumed except for student loans.

Biden has been consistent on wanting student loan reform through legislation and he’s never said he wasn’t going to do the 10k forgiveness. He also has made it much easier to have your student loans forgiven if you are a government or non profit worker

You are right, Biden could let what people already paid go to the principle, and eliminate interest and extend PSLF and cut back in the amount of payment and he would fix the problem. Basically people would only have to pay what they owe. Interest on these loans is the issue. He could give anyone whose paid it off in the last 21 years a massive tax cut too that they could apply piecemeal over a 10 year period. Like he could have his cake and eat it too if he had the Will to do it. He’s not gearing up to do shyt.

I don’t have a personal stake in this topic but if you don’t want to wipe out the debt, extend the deadline or suspend interest and point to that come midterms
