I’m just thinking how bad of a look it is that dude wasn’t true to his word about the $10k. I’m sure something gets resolved with this. This is a badddd look for 2024.

It was incorrect and it's higher learning. I think it's fair to correct an outright lie. Particularly because that's the type of misinformation that upsets voters. A lot of folks in NC were upset when they said student loan payments were canceled only to learn that didn't apply to CFNC loans.

But since we're having this discussion. Roughly 6 million of the 44 million people who have student debt may not be covered by student debt relief if Biden's executive action targets the same demographic as the Cares act or previous executive action.
We've had this discussion before, but since most of this conversation on here is from well paid, well educated, self interested posters it always gets pushed aside.

Based on the linked article that number is about 6 million borrowers would not be covered by executive action. Not that large of money in the grand scheme of total dollars, but 6 millions voters being left out is certainly not a good look for a sweeping policy

My loans are my only debt... currently finishing the process of buying the house me and my fam been renting. Indeed, F them loans.
