Max's delivery of this was perfect

I was likeat that too but head-canon I'm just going to say it was a nod to Wakanda's Dora Milajethey had to have Lucas & his sister making spears huh
window seat - erykah baduWhat song would y’all play to get away from Vecna?
She whooped his ass when he had way more experience and she was like 8. So how is her beating him after three seasons of power ups ( against his minions) not logical? This nikka Vecna was unstoppable all season and this bald head bytch who just got her powers back gonna throw him to the bushes like that
Was this shyt planned out or was they going with the flow because I felt like they should’ve kept the mind flayer as the big homie
don't think you know what this term means...nikkas just want people to die for the sake of “SUbveRTIng EXPecTaTIonS”
Probably the same weirdos that liked TLOU2/Squid Games
i enjoyed it overall tho it started slow, but i kinda see your point. like as i read people in here trying their hardest to give props to lucas (dude is getting the black stimulus on this board) i can't think of anything meaningful about him this season other than having to fight religious rambo to keep max in the trance. mike, will and jonathan were pointless. the russia side mission was grating...and it's overall annoying they introduced eddie just to pretend to give us a death that mattered a la bob in season 2. even with me not liking so many of the storylines, contrived Vecna and cheap death fake outs, they did enough with El, the Hawkins crew and kate Bush to still make it an "A-" season to me thoI'm shocked how much yall love it and giving it GOAT status, you can obviously see the big budget but outside of the cool production and cinematography, I found most of the storylines pretty mid this season.
if my girl didn't love this shyt i would have tapped out a couple episodes into this season... shyts was way too long.
I think maybe I just don't give a fukk about most of the characters for some reason, I enjoyed the first three seasons though so it's weird.. .maybe I'm just being a hater.
i think people use the "it's supposed to be nostalgia/80's campy" angle as an excuse for things done poorly...or should i say the duffer bros gave themselves the ultimate "out" by putting the 80's horror thing out thereReading some of the criticisms, I think it's kind of silly to nitpick some of the plot holes in a show like this... The show is intended to be a 80s nostalgia sci-fi/horror genre with over the top 80s cliches baked in. Don't you think it's kind of stupid to nitpick why Veccna let Nancy go but ignore the fact a 50 year old stay at home mom, a conspiracy theorist and a cop were able to infiltrate a gulag, fight off monsters and then fly from Russia to US in a stolen helicopter? It's just dumb and you're sabotaging your own ability to like the show because you're treating this purposely campy show the same as a more seriously taken show... Just sit back and enjoy, turn off your analytical "realism-seeking" part of your brain and enjoy it for what it is, it's supposed to be a fun 80s love letter
No, it's a sci-fi horror show about a bunch of kids, one with special powers who fight interdimensional demons... Read that out loud if you must... bro, i know it's supposed to be campy, but there are elements that are done poorly, campy or not, that deserve to be critiqued...if you wanna excuse the areas with poor writing, bad plots and lacking character development as "iTS CamPy" feel free, but going for campy 80's horror is not a blank check to escape criticismAll I've seen is people nitpicking 1. Realisim and 2. Supposed plot holes.... My point is it's purposely campy 80s

this...if the show was for kids, they don't need to set it in the 80's. ST appeals to all, but hits hardest with older millennials and gen x who were kids/teens being influenced by and experiencing the nostalgic elements of this showNo it's not
Nikkas misuse the "it's for kids" excuse
You don't have a property with this many references and nostalgia bait and it not be for adults. The show is built for the consumption all age groups
And again that can't be an excuse for whatever flaws it does have
Nikkas don't see their hand in ruining shows with this "Just turn your brain off and consume DAMN" mentally. That's how you end up on season 9 wondering where everything went wrong
I've loved most of this season but I'm gonna call out bad shyt when I see it
they got this and maybe 2 other shows putting up points in the paint, but they need year round material, new shows, and to move to weeklies. this only has one more season which given how long we waited for season 3, nikkas got years to stay unsubscribed before they need to turn netflix back on, ozark is done, guess squid games and bridgerton are their only ongoing blockbusters ATM.Netflix was having pretty rough publicity these last few months with the subscription drops and the price increases and whatnot. Some even saying that Netflix was about to die.
It's nice to see that they still have some strong IP that can keep them relevant and trending.
