Stranger Things joins Breaking Bad in shows that perfectly used the theme song in-episode. That was beautiful how that kicked in, mixed with the Running up that Hill. It was perfection just like Breaking Bad before it. It was a cherry on top how it was used at the very end.
Them demodogs were in those tanks like Ripley's clones in Alien Resurrection, which also had Winona Ryder in it.
El turned into Loomis from Halloween when she sent 01 off the roof. That mofukka was extra crispy when he hit the grass, and just like Michael Myers in Halloween, he was gone when the gang went to look for him.
Y'all actors that be dying like trash in ur movies (I'm talking to you, Marion Cotillard. I forgive u cuz u in my top 5 pawgs but this shyt was unacceptable)
Y'all need to take notes from
Eddie.
But give that man his respect. That's how you die! From now on, that's how you die!
I couldn't believe that they
actually killed Max but it had to happen to get to 4 kills. Still tho
Tremendous acting from
Lucas in that scene. I felt that boy's emotion.
Great callback by Vecna to what Billy would say to his victims when he was possessed with the "don't be afraid. Try and stay very still. It will all be over soon."
Stranger Things knows what they doing in terms of the deaths. They know they can't kill any of the beloved main characters. And I actually like that. I ain't like what happened to Dewey in the new Scream. That's why we get Hopper coming back in a "logical" way. It's now we get
Max getting her life force put back into her and coming back to life next season. They put these beloved characters in harm's way but they pull off a neat trick with how they kill other characters and still have those deaths resonate.
They did it with Bob. He was brought in and played by a beloved actor. He was a supporting character in the lone season he appeared in. He was connected to Joyce and helped solve Will's drawing. He got the power back on in the lab, which got everybody out. His death was a damn shame cuz he was such a well liked character. But he died a hero. And that death mattered to the audience even tho he wasn't a main character. It was the same thing with
Eddie this season. They took a new character who was well liked and gave him a hero's death. That's how you kill characters and have their deaths mean something but still keep your main cast. I applaud The Duffer Bros and the actors for that.
