I'm not done with this season, but I really think the story would've been better served if they'd just let Hopper stay dead after last season. The Russia plotline isn't that interested to me, and is mostly serving as a way to kill screen time and to keep Hopper and Joyce and the other dude with the glasses busy so that the kids can do their thing. This cast is enormous, and I'm on the finale now. I hope a few people get killed off.

I agree with you, I'm not really feeling the Russia plotline. I'm trusting that they tie it into the main story somehow. In the vol 2 preview/trailer it looked like the Russians had a couple frozen/captured Demogorgons, so maybe that'll lead to some additional plot development. It feels like filler at this point.

He was a kid in the 1959. In 1979 he's an adult at the lab, and Eleven sends him to the upside down where he becomes Vecna. The events you see with One in the lab take place 20 years after the events at the house with the murders. He looks 20 years older to me. I thought the ages match up pretty well, and some artistic liberties should be allowed IMO to cover a handful of years difference in appearance, etc.
