I will try to install Windows later to play PSNow and Gamepass.

did you end up doing this?

…and if so can you download the games that are available for download from PSnow or game pass onto the device?

I don’t game on PC so I don’t have a steam deck library…not too interested in emulators either so PSnow and game pass is pretty much all I’ll use it for

random but I’m reading around and just happened across a thread where dudes were complaining they bricked their microSD cards by formatting them a second time on the steam deck…is this a known issue? has it been resolved?

sorry another question but how long did it take to get your steam points after you buy the steam deck?

I should have like 40k steam points and I’ll probably use them to buy some games and use steamOS before switching over to windows at some point

*edit*

nvm I found my balance in the shop

*double edit*

you can’t buy games with steam points :unimpressed:

it’s not a dealbreaker cuz ultimately I want to use the deck as a portable device for PSnow and game pass but this still sucks tho

No...not that I know of. I mean it really depends on the micro sd. If its one of those Wish.com jawns that promises 10tb for 4.99, then yeah :deadrose: .

For the most part, I haven't seen anything about bricked micro sds so far.

I’m gonna try it out and see but the one concern I have is the short battery life…and I heard running windows on it cuts down on the battery life even further…granted I’ll primarily be using it at home for now

We invited you to the fam and everything:mjcry:.

But on the real, I get you. The battery life is ass, but you can actually tweak the settings to give you at least close to 4 hours. Windows on the Deck is hit and miss. To be honest, Linux work just as good (then again, I'm more of a Linux head anyway so it was a easy transition.

For what its worth, at least you knew that the shyt was going to be on the shelf. If I were you, I would invest in the othere PC handhelds if you want a Windows experience. Sure most of them are expensive, but will work in your favor due to better battery life and the convenience of Windows, rather than running the ARM version.

lmao I’m sure I could’ve made it work…but I was looking at how helldivers looks on the steam deck and it was just so small…and I don’t travel as much since COVID, and I remembered how my switch lite just sat around collecting dust
