It's an adaptation breh. As a movie, it worked. I'm sure it pales in comparison to the book, I'd be shocked if it didn't, but as a separate thing, it works beautifully. Same argument I made with someone in grad school who couldn't believe I felt the third harry potter was the best movie. It not being like the book and taking stuff out doesn't mean it's not dope.

Fair enough.... I guess since it dropped around the time (era) of 300 and/or Watchman.... I was expecting it to be like that or atleast closer to the story like WM was.

Like I wouldve been cool if they changed some shyt out like WM did for whatever reasons... like he has a villain called "shytFACE" which essentually is a play on Clayface from Batman. For obvious reason, I could see if they changed something like that.

But to completely change EVERYTHING after the face to keyboard fukk YOU scene in the 1st 30 seconds of the movie..... that was a bit much.

Like they changed the ENTIRE UNIVERSE and introduced shyt that wasnt even part of the storyline (curved bullets?). Na they did tooooo much.

And I wanted to like that movie.... cuz I love the GN.... I own it

If anyone has actually seen Wanted movie but never read the graphic novel.... I'm telling yall.... go read that shyt when yall get a chance.... its really good.

Plus the twist at the end is pretty good.

The first two were fantastic...maybe they waited too long behind the third? Idk I don't go to theatres like that no more, but I wasn't really anticipating this one. Based on the commercials it doesn't seem to push the bar forward too much neither

They got Cars 3, DM3, and Spider-Man 3 out at the same time. The other two are more anticipated (especially cars) with the kids crowd so they lost that

They got Dunkirk and Baby Driver out so the legit masterpiece seeking crowd got other demands

So basically Apes and Spider-Man were fighting for the same scraps

I never expected Homecoming to make a billion either. I do agree though Dawn of Justice should have made a billion but the money it did make is nothing to sneeze at.

I think it made close to $900 million in theaters.
