Spidey's been hyped since before Civil War breh, the fukk you talking about?Homecoming had about 1/10th the hype of BVS though.
Can't speak for anyone else but I never exepected Homecoming to hit a billion. It would have had to have been AMAZING (no pun) to reach that number.
Wanted film

Wanted was ill
The book was.... but the movie took out basically EVERYTHING
Go look up:
The American Fraternity
The Australian Family
The Council of Five
I mean... I'm not saying they shouldve introduced Johnny Two-dikks, but they couldve easily gave us The Puzzler
Wesley Gibson Rogues>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Batman and Superman rogues combined

I don't really like the other tones of spiderman movies they feel more romantic movies than hero spiderman 2 is sorta depressing but the outline is peter gets mj. This one takes the comedy of spiderman while sprinkling in some high school teen crush. Its kinda a negative for me for other characters but not for spideyI mean... to me... thats the whole purpose of a Universe... no different from TV shows with spin offs, the actual comic sources, videogames, books, etc.
I wouldnt want it or expect it any other way.
Aliens doesnt fit in the same realm or atmosphere as Friday. Friday would feel right with Harry Potter. Harry Potter wouldnt feel right with The Last Samurai and so on and so on.
I get what people are saying but they really gotta stop using that as a "negative" to MCU movies. Its needs to be that way so it all makes sense.
Before we saw the movies we read the comics and didnt mind it.
Later we saw the cartoons and didnt mind it
We played some of the few games and didnt mind it
Now we cant come in here with something successful and be like "ew, thats bad or not gonna work"
I think its a great thing that they can keep a small consistent feel throughout
