The stuttering, came across as an a$$hole, the quips aren't funny,
At the end of the day people were so happy to see a quippy Spider-Man that they overlook ASM's flaws. People also over-rate it because it came after Spider-Man 3 so it just looks good by comparison to that.

Only problem I had with Amazing Spider-Man was Jamie Foxx's pre-Electro character. He seemed like he would've fit better in the Sam Raimi movies.
The first movie has its flaws, mostly just editing and tone, but he carries it. As does Emma. The first one is a lot better than the 2nd one which tried to be too much to everyone and serve so many damn masters

Honestly wish he was replaced.
Film had no style,and the action scenes were hands down the woat of any spider man film.
Let the boy grow. shyt this is only his 3rd movie
but we talked about this before. You look at the visuals, I listen to the writing more so as far as writing and tone, which to me is the hardest job of a director, he was pitch perfect. The action scenes definitely left shyt to be desired but he can grow. Either pick a better 2nd unit director or just have a better eye for the edits and setups he wants. But yeah he wasn't getting replaced at all. Wasn't a chance in hell unless he said "nah"

It's really frustrating because every time Peter is about to grow up the film's get rebooted.I saw this again and the high school setting was even more grating this time

I had trouble finding people to go with me to the film because everyone I know was sick of the reboots and seeing him in high school.
