A 62% drop. This won't reach Spider-Man or Spider-Man 2. Marvel fukked up the marketing somehow. Families should be running out to see this, it's a good flick but BO wise it's disappointing

Or maybe its the market right now. Casual fan's wont rush to see this. The last Spiderman movie dropped 3 years ago. This is another reboot. It's like Fantastic 4 dropping next year. It don't matter who they got to direct and act in it, casual fans aren't gonna be pressed to go see it.

If Marvel did everything they good to not show traditional scenes from the previous films and they also had lower expectations for the opening week. The important thing is Spidey is currently in the MCU. The 2nd one will do bigger numbers coming off the heels of Infinity War.

And I honestly think they pushed BP back in favor of Spiderman just to make sure Sony didn't renege on their agreement
