SOHH ICEY MONOPOLY
Just got done watching this, wasn't bad by any stretch, was very entertained but as someone that grew up on Fox kids this wasn't my spiderman. Spiderman2 still remains the only great and close to legit spiderman movie.

I am the biggest diversity advocate but they took it too far. Flash for instance did not need to be a towel head. And I am sorry but his friend should've been a cac also. It would also have been better if the lead chick was caucasian too all the while

the ugly duckling is who he eventually falls for,its the perfect dichotomy.

When news of casting was announced I wondered how they would fit all those names. As it turns out most of the parts were between useless and cameo I mean what was the point if Burress

Keaton, May and Holland were on point I didn't even mind stark for once but the less Hogan the better

Biggest problems tho was
the start, I get we are social media crazy and that is what kids do but to start off with vulture's Saturday morning cartoon intro then transition to Peters vlogs was rough. It also dragged on and Holland seemed more annoying than endearing

The final battle, what the hell was that? "Its going to explode" "I am trying to save you" bang! It explodes but we don't see it and the damn thing doesn't kill him anyway, such a nothing ending.

Lastly the whole movie (other than casting) did not take any chances creatively. This was suppose to be the Spiderman marvel cultivated but I did not feel the magic and without it what was the point
A high 6 just ain't good enough

My CAC senses are tingling

Wow. Called the man a towel head. Ignoring the fact he's of Spanish descent but wow regardless

Cars didn't eat shyt, Cars is a flop. Planet of the Apes is doing "okay" far less than the last one which is unfortunate because it's a really good movie.

I don't know why apes didn't do better than dawn. Deadline has a whole spiel on it and possibilities why including its social media reach or lack thereof which I guess is a thing now. But War is dope it deserves better than that even tho it's not terrible at all. I think our expectations are if something doesn't make 100 mil opening or close to it than it's a bust but not at all for something like apes. Just feel like more eyes need to be on it

Franchises always have a peak, and it doesn't mean it was the best one.

Fast 7 will be that series peak. Avengers is the MCU peak. BVS so far is the dceu peak. Spider man 3 is the worst film and yet it's spider man's peak.

Batman super man is the peak worldwide. Domestically it's easily Wonder Woman so they're trending up at the moment.

Well, worldwide is the number that's gone by :manny:

True indeed. But we're a selfish country lol and yeah worldwide matters but they still get more profits from the US numbers. I'm of the mind the fast series needs to lower their budgets. You're not going to make a massive movie like F7 again. Presumably. Therefore when your latest flick costs a little over $200 to make not including P&A and it barely clears that mark in the states bring it down. Fast five is, I think, the most fully successful of the whole series and it only costs $65 million to make. The ROI on that movie is insane and all these years later it's still probably paying for itself. With home video and tv rights they gotta be making a fortune on that flick every other minute

Not just fast, but films in general I feel like budgets are out of control.

There's no reason you can't get a lot done with a 150 million budget. 250 is excessive.

But next fast should be brought at least 50 Million down in budget.
