That fagg*t ass b*tch sitting next to me groaned out "who fukking cares??" when she said that. I've never wanted to scrap with somebody so bad in a movie theater before, but it wouldn't have been a good look.

As far as the flick itself, the scene in the car with Michael Keaton had me :lupe:

Great scene from a really underrated great actor.

Not enough Aunt May scenes, felt she was underused.

The after credits scene :martin:

The Ultron easter egg :dwillhuh:

Overall a good flick, but middle of the pack as far as MCU releases go.

It's my favorite one. Now obviously thats because its my favorite character but its because of specific moments involving my favorite character. The scene you mentioned with Keaton in the car, the Amazing 33 recreation, the sense of humor, the cast, the set up for stuff. like i said before, i have one glaring ass issue

Yeah....thats a plot hole.

Tony is all about the accord and responsibility and Spidey is out here destroying shyt left and right and there's really nothing mentioned at all.

Well.... there was a small mention of it in the movie.

But as far as Tony's stance, I was taking it that since PP is a minor he wasnt trying to put him under all that scrutiny yet till he saw a little more about what he is about character wise as it was acknowledged in the end how he was impressed with PP the person, plus wasnt that part of the reason he was telling PP to stay doing "low level" shyt to stay under the radar and let the big boys do the big shyt (in addition to caring about him not getting hurt or hurting others).

With those Accords, once that path is crossed there is no going back and I think he just wanted to make sure Spidey was ready for that and worthy.

I'm sure if he stepped through "that door" a whole bunch of shyt was about to go down for him that wouldve changed his life forever

Martha

Well to be fair, Stark DID keep telling Peter to keep everything low-key. And took away his suit when too much attention and damage was drawn.

I felt a lot of what Stark was saying was implied. And they did mention that Captain America is now a War Criminal.

Tony was for the accords on paper.. It wasn't until the end of civil war he realized he screwed up. that's why he went after cap without the govt and he probably didn't even bat an eye when he found out cap broke them out of prison...

He is for the accords ONLY because it looks good for his image...

One of the things I'm most interested in is in the sequel is how they handle how the public's view on Spider-Man after all this.

the sequel supposedly starts literally minutes after the events of avengers 4 so the public might not even matter for the first 20-30 minutes...

Yeah, it's my favorite ever for the same reasons...only winter soldier compares because of the action.

now as I continue, I give the movie an A- and enjoyed it, so none of this ruined anything for me.

Spiderman being an ironman lackey for 9/10ths of the movie is just...repug. I never liked them having a close relationship since the bendis era and it's worse to me on film. Him rebuking ironman at the end was very satisfying and literally brought it from a B+ back to an A- for me. Ironman coining the phrase friendly neighborhood Spiderman :madbaugh: ironman talking to Spiderman like a son :sadfive:. I PREFER them as peers that rarely cross paths, but, there are different interpretations of the character and their relationships so it's not like they INVENTED this dynamic, it's just not my preference.

Yeah Peter could have said "friendly neighboorhood Spider-man" for the first time at the very end of t he film when he rejected Stark's offer so that he could remain at the ground level. That would have been the perfect time to have the line said, after Peter had truly become Spider-man, after the climax in the epilogue, rather than Tony just thinking it up on the fly as a sort of nothing moment.

I cant see any MCU movie topping Winter Soldier. That shyt was damn near perfect.

I was hoping there would be some Ant-Man and Wasp references in this, but I dont recall seeing any.
And regarding WS, This one almost did. Spiderman is INHERENTLY a more interesting character than Captain Boyscout. Hell, i can imagine myself wanting to watch this WAY before winter soldier.

The next spiderman probably will surpass it.
