but Liz moved to Oregon...only thing I can think of is that maybe they're trying to show his humanity as a character,like he does actually respect peter and doesn't really want to see him killed.

Or maybe he's going to be used more later on in another film.I don't know

I don't see a map being the thing that stops Gargan for real lol. He'd go after them on principle and he wants them out of it. But again, doesn't want them going after the kids in the school. He's a very calculating dude but also pragmatic. Going after kids doesn't fit his agenda and you go after Peter, then you'll be going after the kids. Or again maybe its the respect thing. Either way, too many variables, which is why I would've preferred if they killed him since he knows the secret but I do love the idea of Keaton's Toomes still being alive
