Yup. He was the head of studio for a minute. He helped bring them back from bankruptcy in the 90s and was actually a part of the marvel studios we know today. I forgot what happened to cause him to leave.
General belief is that he left because of Marvel's decision to borrow over $500 mil to finance production of their own movies. From reading various articles it sounds like he really disagreed with the idea/concept of a cinematic universe back before all this kicked off.

I could see him questioning the money. He saw the comic company enter into ruin by self publishing which led to bankruptcy. Avi isn’t what I’d call “creative” but he’s on point when it comes to handling money and running a business from that aspect. Obviously he was wrong in this case but most of Hollywood felt how he felt; risky proposition that was sure to fail.

Started off slow to me mainly because I could tell what was going to happen (someone on here came up with the theory months ago). Picked up though and the after credit scene had people :russ: then :gladbron:. Didn’t like it as much as homecoming but it wasn’t a bad flick.
