Yeah a lot of people stopped reading them in the late 90s. That was a bad period for comics lol.

But there's a version of Carnage and Venom that is dope as hell. I just haven't seen it yet

But that’s what I’m saying. Which version of comics you enjoyed then? Lol.. which version of carnage and venom are you wishing would come out? You confusing me now. Lol... I don’t even know of venom without Brock. I’m not interested in that a venom without Brock. I’m going thru my old comics this weekend after seeing the movie to reminisce... but besides me loving aunt May, this movie was fire.

The way they've done venom/brock in the spectacular spider-man tv show or ultimate spider-man comic is what I'd do with him. Make him a fully fleshed out character who can't get out of his own way and blames everything on spider-man but truly believes he wants to do the right thing.

In the comics recently, Flash took over Venom once the symbiotie became military property. So he was Agent Venom and it was pretty damn dope. You got to see Flash battle with the man he was, the man he is, and the man he didn't want to be as he tried to fight the symbiotie truly taking over. So you have this interesting struggle between two living beings who need each other but clearly don't see eye to eye. Eddie gave in to the bad shyt and just let it amplify him and that was the end of the struggle. There was no actual character shyt to go with there

Dope as fukk, I agree with people putting this above Endgame.

Martin Starr might've said the funniest shyt in the MCU so far:

talmbout his wife pretending to have gotten blipped only to find out she left with another man :mjlol:

I was in tears:dead:

I never even put that flash episode and thought of “venom” while watching it. I guess we will just have a difference in how we want venom. Lol. Cuz I rather see it with Brock. And I want it to be the same Brock that played in the last venom movie. Hopefully eventually they can bring it together.

Flash was dope. Brock Venom was not a character i've really given a shyt about since I was a kid. Maximum Carnage was kinda IT until Agent Venom. I will say Eddie's current series which is doing all sorts of wild shyt with his origin has been pretty damn dope. I did really enjoy the Spectacular cartoon interpretation as well. I actually don't think it would take a lot to make him interesting in the MCU. They do well for the most part at giving the characters some meat.

But I also see them saying they wanna crossover with the Hardy movie version. If they do that, i'm not sure how they'd go about it, since that one is already pretty much just an anti-hero, Lethal Protector type.

Yeah and the most interesting things about the lethal protector stuff is the buddy comedy aspect and he's already devoted himself to the side of good. At that point, it would be like the spider-man game on ps1 where Eddie keeps interfering in Peter's shyt all in the name of helping and he just makes shyt worse.

It was OK for me as well. A lot of flat and awkward jokes that didn't work. The set up felt forced, in fact, a lot of things felt forced, especially the new Iron Man stuff. I think it's strange this is a world where Steve Rogers is presumed to be dead but everyone is only concerned about Iron Man's replacement. However, the action scenes, particularly the way they shot the crazy stuff Peter was seeing was fantastic and saved it for me.

I think it's like a 6.5 out of 10.
I agree with this completely

MJ was awkward as fukkkkkkk

But semantics is exactly what i mean though. Technically he right, Namor rights are partially owned by Universal the same way Hulk is. So we won't see a Namor movie. But like Hulk they can easily put Namor in someone elses movie. So they are trying to use semantics to avoid spoilers but at the same time have been dropping subtle hints the he will appear in the MCU, possibly in BP2.

I was only talking about the snap comment though cause you said they said it wouldn't be undone..

Namor I believe is tied up more than just universal

Scott Derrickson Fuels Rumor Over Namor Joining MCU in ‘Doctor Strange 2’
"Doctor Strange 2" might feature the introduction of a famous underwater mutant.

“Doctor Strange”

The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe beyond “Avengers: Endgame” remains a big question mark (outside of “Spider Man: Far From Home,” of course), but “Doctor Strange” director Scott Derrickson might have just accidentally made things clearer. In a since-deleted social media post, Derrickson posted a photo of a 2011 comic book cover featuring Doctor Strange and Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Derrickson wrote as a caption, “Are you Experienced?”

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has long wanted Namor to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is one reason Derrickson’s post is generating such strong buzz from MCU fans. The character is an underwater mutant that shares similarities to Aquaman, mainly super-strength and aquatic powers. In an interview with IGN in April 2018, Feige said getting the rights to Namor was complicated as film rights to the character were originally owned by Universal Pictures. The movie never got off the ground, but getting Namor in the MCU means negotiating with the producers who still own the rights.

“Let’s put it this way — there are entanglements that make it less easy,” Feige said at the time. “There are older contracts that still involve other parties that mean we need to work things out before we move forward on it. As opposed to an Iron Man or any of the Avengers or any of the other Marvel characters where we could just put them in.”

The Namor situation mirrors the use of Bruce Banner/Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The reason Marvel has not made a solo Hulk movie starring Mark Ruffalo is because Universal still holds first rights to the character and must approve of any standalone Hulk film being released. Universal released the Edward Norton-starring “The Incredible Hulk” before Marvel was bought by Disney. The current MCU features the Hulk, but it gets around the rights issue by only including him as a supporting character in non-solo Hulk films like “The Avengers” and “Thor: Ragnarok.” Feige clearly wants Namor in the MCU, so perhaps a similar conclusion was reached.

Whether or not Namor does pop up in “Doctor Strange 2” remains to be seen, although it would also meet a criterion Feige has announced for the next phase of Marvel movies. Throughout the recent “Captain Marvel” press tour, Feige expressed interest in introducing more outlier Marvel characters in the future and bringing them into the universe in films that are not solo standalone movies. Introducing Namor in a pre-exiting franchise like “Doctor Strange” is the perfect example of what Feige has said he wants to do.

Derrickson will return to the director’s chair for “Doctor Strange 2,” which currently does not have a release date.

I just went on a rant about this in another thread but if she was actually Mary Jane Watson, then laughing at them would be necessary. But she’s not. Marvel worked themselves into a shoot by calling her Michelle Jones smh. Just call her Mary Jane Watson
I just assumed she had to be in because peter was calling her that. Didn't know for sure after homecoming but thought I did watching this.

Makes me think they just didn't want to introduce Gwen since the two amazing movies did it.:francis:

An original character romance doesn't bother me. But the name thing does

Dawg I loved homecoming and I didn’t think this would even top it. Ended up being better than hoco and endgame :wow:
Keaton and Gyllenhaal killed their roles so much respectively that I have no doubts the next casted villain will ball the fukk out too.

@MartyMcFly Throughout the film, all I could think about was how you noted that it felt like two separate films until that one, big moment that takes the movie by storm. That moment was sooooo worth it.
