@MartyMcFly Was this the best live-action Spidey film yet?

Friend of mine says it is. But he’s seen it twice. I need to see it again before I can make any judgement like that. He had time to sit with it after two showings.

I’ll say this tho: our of sams flicks, Spider-Man 2 is the only one I can still sit through.

I get it. I just felt some type of way about it.

I'm like Spider-Man hasn't given you reason for all that :martin::why:

Speaks to how good of an actor Jake G is tho :ehh:

I’d say his reason was ancillary. Peter was collateral damage and the symbol of something he hated

Any good graphic novels or comics I should check out with Mysterio?

His first appearance in amazing #13
The Spider-Men arc from a few years ago is another good Mysterio story.

That’s really it for my money. There haven’t been a lot of great stories featuring him. The ultimate universe version of Mysterio is a bit of a deeper character.

Other than that, check out the episodes of spectacular Spider-Man he’s in. Those are all good and they do more with him there than in the Spider-Man comics

Was ok to me.

Had some dope action scenes tho.

Just took a min for it to pull me in.

This is just me:

1. Movie basically boiled down to SM vs Drones and some tech guys. Mysterio himself wasn't really a threat.

2. I know AOU gets hated on, but to me it was better than the 1st Avengers, cuz Loki really wasn't a threat to them as a team when Ultron was.
3. I get flack for that opinion, the same way I normally get flack for saying Dark Knight Rises is better than TDK. Bane was an actually threat to Batman, when the Joker wasn't.

I think this one would go in the bottom 3rd of MCU movies for me. Not really a bad thing, cuz the MCU has some really dope films in it.

It was OK for me as well. A lot of flat and awkward jokes that didn't work. The set up felt forced, in fact, a lot of things felt forced, especially the new Iron Man stuff. I think it's strange this is a world where Steve Rogers is presumed to be dead but everyone is only concerned about Iron Man's replacement. However, the action scenes, particularly the way they shot the crazy stuff Peter was seeing was fantastic and saved it for me.

I think it's like a 6.5 out of 10.

The movie was dope and very well written. The cast is very likeable and ah man, Jake Gyllenhaal killed it as Mysterio. As I was reading a few pages back, I'd like to see sinister 6 as the next lineup of villains but the introduction of Kingpin and tombstone first. I liked that this movie showcased his intelligence unlike the others. I would like Norman Osborne to be the very very last villain and we need a big name for his role like Brad Pitt or Ben Affleck.
