I don't agree but I can see the logic in what Reincar is saying. Spartacus started all of this yet is leaving it to Crixus to truly stop it. Crixus is right, Crassus isn't going to just let them live out the rest of their days chilling on a farm and churning butter. If I was Spartacus I would have Laeta lead the slaves who couldn't fight over the mountain and have all of the best fighters form one army and head towards Rome. Spartacus was always the tactical one of the two so who knows how that battle plays out with him and another thousand able bodied warriors added to the mix.
That said, Spartacus feels responsible for all of those slaves so he wants to see them to freedom himself, I get it.

Sparatcus was about getting vengeance and he did once he saw the damage he caused with freeing all those slaves he grew as a person and took on a new responsibility.
He put his own personal feeling aside and thought of others. Crixus never could move on but that fit into his character.
The show did give him a nice send off though.
