If he would have tried to go through the Alps he would have lost at least half his army easily due to the terrain...Hannibal was the only one to successfully cross the Alps with an army and he sustained massive casualties...Spartacus also would have to carefully maneuver around roman legions stationed in those lands as well as barbarians...

Nah he's not getting betrayed by another pirate...These writers ain't following history...The pirate betrayal happened after Spartacus reached the Alps and was forced to go south by his generals (Crixus split way before this) who refused to leave Italy...
The plan was to go south pillaging everything in their path and then to Sicily which was a safe haven for slaves...They were going to regroup in Sicily but the pirate (Hiracleon) betrayed them...Crassus then trapped them just south of Capua with that massive wall we saw in the previous episode...Spartacus escaped and went north towards Rome again where he met his demise...

Caesar got biggest L in this episode and hate had to be him. They made Caesar looks weak.

It is a little annoying that both Agron and Crixus got taken down by Tiberius of all people
He's a sniveling little sh!t, even Caesar got raped by Tiberius
