Cissy did the right thing.Soon as Teddy told her he was lying about Alton being alive and that he put 2 holes in him she new Teddy was a bullshyt manipulator who would talk & connive his way out of anything to stay alive. She new Franklin was never getting that money and that Teddy was pulling some more bullshyt tactics. She saved Fanklin from himself.

After everything we watched from Teddy for 6 seasons, what leads anyone to believe that he was going to seriously transfer Franklin some money. And if Teddy didn’t die Franklin would’ve been fukking Oso over.

Besides that, like the other poster said all of the heinous shyt Franklin did on the path towards acquiring that money. Its all only worth it if he actually HAS the money at the end of the day. This man rationalized killing his first love’s father over that money. He rationalized having another man raped in the ass over that money. He rationalized murdering TWO of his best friends over that money. He rationalized shaking hands and working alongside the man, who he knew deep down inside murdered his own father, over that money.

The money is as much a psychological salve as it is financial freedom for Franklin. Without it his life and decisions really amount to nothing, he might as WELL be dead. There are barely any friends left to sacrifice. No family left to trust. No white man left to blame. No cooked cops left to payoff. No drugs left to sell. How EXACTLY is he supposed to “redo” a situation that already was precarious at the BEST of times?
