Franklin is clutch with prep time,but thinking on his feet is what Teddy does for a living. The moment he took Teddy out of that room he was in trouble imo. Cici asked him about Alton right there for a reason. The moment Teddy felt he was in the clear,he boldly told her he was lying about Alton. He was just saying what he had to to "move the pieces on the chessboard" in that moment. And was probably doing the exact same thing with Franklin. She shot Teddy because she knew Teddy wasnt about to live up to his end of the bargain. I think she sacrificed herself to give Franklin an opportunity to escape. Because Franklin probably wasnt about to leave that scene like he thought.


People say they wanted the KGB. Yeah,but they wouldve just taken Franklin in custody. And more than likely tortured the information out of him,or tortured his mother until he or she told.


Yall think Franklin can handle the torture they know how to dish out? I think yall are forgetting Teddy aint the police. Franklin wasnt about to get a phone call to his lawyer and a trial. He was going straight to Teddys torture basement

Franklin never had to let Teddy leave the warehouse in the first place!

He used one tactic, one time (hot grease) and then let Teddy control the situation

He should've just kept his foot on the gas torturing him and he would've gotten his money.

He was a little too desperate. And honestly I dont think Teddy wouldve made the deal from that basement. Because it was almost a guarantee Franklin wouldve killed him once he got what he wanted. So I do think Franklin wouldve had to make some kind of swap like did. But your right,he was screwed the moment he left the basement.

it’s hard for me to say what her motivation was since the writers have these characters moving so inconsistently and subjected to whatever makes the story convenient/entertaining…but it’s hard for me to paint her as a “hero” based on how she handled it…I think up until that point the CIA as far as we know (based on the other agent and the one higher up he spoke to) were content to leave franklin alone…with teddy being shot in fukking public, realistically it should force their hands to erase all loose ends…but again the writing is sketchy so I have no idea how it’s gonna play out…whatever her motivations were for gunning him down tho, it was extremely shortsighted of her to do it in public…she could’ve asked teddy that same shyt right before they left the warehouse or even when they were in the car on their way to the meet up spot if she didn’t trust him…I think the writing has just gotten to a silly place where it’s not even about the characters making sense anymore…it’s just about what’s more exciting for the audience

He's done a job on 'all becuase y'all think he's still some big, bad important fed still, when now he's just a CAC with no job and tenuous connections.

Without the government, Teddy had no choice but to give Franklin back his money. If he was lying, why not just tell Frank he'd give him ALL the money? That would've been even mor what Frank wanted to hear, right?

And so what if he comes after a dude with $37 million dollars?

I watched the episode again and got damn Franklin is so naive or maybe just straight up desperate. You really think you could just escape with the money from the CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY?! The same agency that was using you to fund a war in Nicaragua?! The same agency that aledgedly killed JFK?! The same agency that was behind a bunch of coups in South America, Africa, etc?! That had been trying to kill Fidel Castro for decades?

Now even if Franklin didn't know about all that, this is the most powerfull intelligence agency on the planet. You're not going to walk away freely.

Why are y’all forgetting that Teddy is NO LONGER CIA. Franklin even said that when Teddy started making threats.

Next scene they were in together the cia was bold face lying to teddy to get him to transfer that money, cause he woulda got rid of him afterwards.

After that convo teddy went to his girl and told her that he made his mind up and that they gonna just run away

When Franklin talked to the agent while he had teddy locked up he literally told him he has nothing to do with it, and pretty much told Franklin to do what he needs to do. Until he brought up the kgb guy.

The cia guy just want the money tho, he was in teddy warehouse looking for where it possibly could be.

During the convo teddy and Franklin had, Franklin mention that the cia war is all coming to an end, they don’t want that operation to keep going.
