That scene was pointless. Why have Wanda overhear the reporter, not tell anybody and then they find out five minutes later anyway?

I get what you saying but Wanda's info is still useful because she knows what the reporter looks like tho .

Like others have said, Alton should’ve told Saint and his mom when the reporter first came around and that could’ve stopped that. Every time the reporter mentions the Panthers, he gets misty eyed and shyt.. But he’s seeing the effects of what his son is doing but that’s still a convo he should’ve had with him beforehand.

The scene where I’m assuming that was fatbacc’s mom looking at Leon. I think that was foreshadowing. The guilt of fatbacc & killing that girl, plus the bounty is getting to him. He may not make it to season 5.

The reason Jerome was in that suit at the hospital was probably because he was coming from fatbacc’s funeral.

They writers have turned reed into John Wick, I also think Avi will get killed, he’s very shady and I’m surprised they have kept his character alive this long. I think before seasons end the reporter, leon & either Jerome or peaches will be killed.

I took it as the teller and Avi were dirty and they set the other guy to be the fall guy. You don’t just survive waterboarding and provide zero info if you’re guilty. Dude legit didn’t know wtf was going on.

I’m not liking how they’re writing Alton btw. They’re making him naive as fukk. His first reaction when he told the reporter GTFO was a realistic one. Yes Alton might see the effect of drugs on the community but as a former Panther he can’t be so naive to think you can just rat on the CIA and make it out alive.

What I was expecting, was for him to give Frank the warning and skip to Cuba. From there, Franklin will either handle it or brush it off due to the pressure on Leon and the crew. It’s funny cuz he goes off on this Black history speech and how surviving the CIA is impossible but that just exposes how little he cared for Frank in that moment. Even if Gladgela Yee kept the Saint’s names out of it people can read between the lines and figure it out. Alton wasn’t as thorough of a Panther as the ATGs. Interestingly enough tho, I think the writers took him running a drug rehab center from Mutulu Shakur’s story. In the end tho, I think Wanda might be the one to take over the clinic.

I’ll say that although I didn’t have a problem with the episode I can see why some people think we just saw the beginnings of this show turning into Power. As vicious as Reed is, I don’t ever remember him being fukkin Jason Bourne killin drug dealing Mexican police in Tijuana and breaking and entering in Panama. The Narcos CIA guy might’ve been with the shyts like that but not Reed.

Why does Avi keep letting Teddy play him? He (probably) doesn't know Teddy is CIA, and Teddy isn't directly putting tons of money in Avi's pocket.
The Avi we met in season 1 would've killed Teddy a long time ago.

It's evident that they don't know where they're going with this (explains why they reached out to Freeway Rick Ross recently).

They've turned the CIA agent into a Rambo ninja this season.

Lol the Reed storyline and development this season has been kinda which is kind of disappointing because they were able to take what started out a character that people weren't fukking with for the most part and build it up to where it wasn't stagnating the story or fukking with viewer experience but now it seems like they've regressed.

Trying to give em the benefit of the doubt with this covid shyt though, aside from the more obvious change with the show. You can tell that certain little things here and there aren't being fleshed out like they normally would be maybe.

I took his conversation with Franklin's mom as him testing the waters. He basically knew that if he couldn't convince the mom to get Franklin out of the game then there was no hope of convincing Franklin to stop.

He should have moved to Cuba and set up something that the family could move to (and used some of his son's drug money to woo the black panther royalty there) instead of selling him let's run away to Cuba dreams.
