That’s all fine and dandy but not how it works in the drug game. You need to be ruthless or else someone is always gonna come for your spot. Whether internal or external. In the beginning Franklin was leaving folks alive (Karvel, Lenny) letting his people disrespect him (Kevin) etc. None of it was believable given how much bread he was holding and how small his team was. This was my biggest gripe in the first two seasons. Didn’t feel realistic for his position.

plus he was always rolling around dolo. At least they did a better job in season 3 showing him kill some folks and instill FEAR in his people and his enemies.
Bruh have you ever heard of freeway rick who this is based on? Dude wasn't some hardened killer. AZ (the real AZ) wasn't some killer. Even Preme wasn't a killer.. shyt Gotti wasn't even a killer...

These dudes would have all the work, employ all the muscle, and sit back and let the muscle handle the problems and nobody ever came at them like that. What you're talking about is more like TV... Where only the killers make the money and look tough. Nah those types are usually too hot and too dumb to also be the boss. The boss usually sits back and calls the shots, not takes them

you’re making my point for me. Franklin didn’t get a team of muscle until season 3. Before that it was just Leon in season 1 and Peaches in season 2.

The first two seasons had had multiple people telling him he wasn’t bout this life.

Correct. And how many times he get robbed and beat up and almost killed? Outside the club, by the rape dude, by his victim, the Mexicans almost killed him, took his mans life.

and still he had his uncle, kev and his cousins, and a few local young boys. He just got out of jail where he had no respect and was getting punished. By two different crews. Would have been dead soon.

now he’s home he’s running neighborhoods outside his and now he’s teaming up for muscle. I get what you saying but they’ve done a damn good job at showing him coming up without him being super nikka. He’s taken big l’s all the way through to get here

Did the writers change for season 3? shyt got 1000x times better

Also glad that they don't really focus on the mexicans anymore, the whole storyline of that mexican broad killing her whole familiy was so thin and dull, just a example of the bad writing of the first seasons. i almost gave up on the show but shyt is getting much more
ambiguous now

Also i wonder if the starting sequence of the last episode was franklin dreaming or him remembering the past...cause he can't have known teddy back then? That was the point of the whole dream episode? Cause to me that shyt wasn't really like a alternate reality...he really went to that school, he really had problems paying that, he really worked in the store. An alternate reality should be way more diffent than his real life to make a good point. Well, by the time Season 4 starts i won't think bout this weird episode anymore

I think each episode had different directors. Look up the episode list, should say it.

I didn't comment at the time because I was so pissed. The last episode was wack, I hate dreams and alternate reality episodes. It is a real waste of fukkin' time. The season would have been 10/10 if they didn't do that shyt. Ugh, I'm still upset. lol

I almost quit the show because of the Mexican CIA story line. My friend talked me out of it. I'm glad I listened. I miss this show. I miss john singleton :to:

Just finished season 3 might be the best season. RIP John Singleton hopefully they can continue the show with out him and keep it just as good. Anyone know what deal is with season 4?
