I FINALLY caught this episode :wow: I never been so glued to the this show ever. Couldn't take my eyes off for even a split second. That was masterful writing for the entire season. What a way to cap it off. RIP John, it's fukking me up that he ain't here to see i thru :to:

Leon looked like Eazy E with his hair braided
He reminded me of up and coming Smino

That's just another dub in the win column for the Wire. Had nothing to lean on but superb writing and dope ass actin'. nikkas need to chill tryna pit every black show that come out against it or make it seem like it's either on or above the level of The Wire. nikkas did the same shyt with the sorry ass Chi. Snowfall certainly shyts on the latter but it's not Wire status yet and nikkas in here talking about it's already "better"...foh.

That ain't a dub when this show has that, plus cinemtagrophy, its a movie every week on Snowfall:wow:. Pitting shows against each other is just apart of the culture, its not a bad thing. If you are in the debate then you should be proud of that accomplishment. Snowfall has done a far better job with the emotional aspect, while The Wire focused more on the ins and outs of the business. I didn't give a damn about none of them dudes on The Wire though,I care about the outcomes on Snowfall.

The last 10 minutes were good, but a 40 minute dream sequence is inexcusable :beli:

Yeah, can't front, I wasn't that into this ep. On one hand, it was riveting, I watched every minute/scene. It was written and acted beautifully. That last scene with the sun in the background when Reed and Franklin were talking, was great cinematography.

But I would have liked to see more forward story progression rather than a flashback/dream sequence. I understand building the back story, but this is the final ep and for me it didn't build my anticipation for next season (which I will be there for from day 1)...

But I trust the team to make it all make sense.....

Bodie's death didn't have emotional aspect?

Wallace?

D'Angelo?

shyt, even Prop Joe's tragic demise?

Not to mention the kids with Randy and Dukie's outcomes.

You buggin'.

I disagree. I feel like had they spent more time explaining too much and tying up loose ends it would’ve taken away anticipation for next season. The dream/coma sequence was a great way to prepare us for the final leg by explaining Franklin’s final transformation.

I kinda look at him being shot as the metaphorical death of the good kid he was. Done at the hands of the girl next door/love interest so the vulnerability he had has to logically go out the window now. Despite how far Franklin has come, deep down he was still that good kid and there needed to be a life changing moment to change that.

I’ll say I wouldn’t have been mad if they’d done more explaining of what went down but I personally like that there’s a whole three month gap of events that need to be explained next season. How did Stacy/Manboy even pick up gang bangin? What is Franklin/Reed’s work relationship now? What happened to Mel? Is Leon gon get at Manboy? How much bullshyt will the Andre’s partner put Franklin through?
