everybody and they momma know he stole
freeway shyt.. just like rick ross stole freeway persona.

why folks feel so comfy stealing from dude
freeway has a zen like temperament. It’s probably why he was able to outsmart everyone in real life.
A lot of cats could learn a thing or two following that. Leave the emotions at home, the game gives and takes away equally.

Anyone notice the power going out in 2 separate scenes?

I can't piece that together. There must some symbolism there

The first time they focused on the cac cop weighing his options about Frank. The second time was after Mel spotted the same cop talking to Frank.

Yeah I noticed that, I thought that shot was cold when it kept zooming into the cop as they talked around him. Those moments of blackout came when the focused character was having dark thoughts or plotting something.

In some of Franklin’s missteps you see where he needed his father or an OG around for him. Like someone else said, Mel hittin him with the low low should’ve been the final straw. Plus if he really did care for her then he should’ve known right away that she needed to get sent to rehab. Him helping in that might’ve spared Andre’s life plus he might’ve gained an ally in him. He should’ve realized the love was gone. Even if he didn’t suspect that she knew.

Real shyt tho, Mel and Franklin is a vicious love tragedy. One of the best I’ve ever seen honestly. I felt both sides, Mel’s feeling of betrayal and Franklin’s feeling of guilt that his love has been destroyed by the poison that made him rich. Real twisted and fukked up.

Get the fukk out this thread with that corny shyt. He was a degenerate criminal who contributed to the destruction of the black community. Regardless of the inspiration, this is historical fiction to a degree. We’re just here to be entertained with some thought provoking elements tossed in.

No one cares about some drug dealing loser. If he wasn’t scum, he would be doing legit business and no one would be worried about folks profiting off his “story”.

You gonna go to the Tarantino thread and cry about Manson’s story being stolen?

I absolutely hate, niccas ain't up on this show. We, what one Ep from the finale. After last week, this shyt hit the ground running.
Damson deserves an Emmy, and this show deserves more pub.
Meanwhile, every chick at the job asking if I saw the latest episode of Power. I can't... :hhh:

Franklin simp ass should’ve learned his lesson the moment Mel kicked him in the nuts and didn’t look back. She is running neck and neck with ManBoy as one of the most unstable characters on this show. Saint gonna be in recovery mode for yet another season considering the shyt that happened to him in prison.

His whole crew needs to take some pointers from that white boy when it comes to seeing how to live when you are a drug trafficker. That CAC seems like he doesn’t have a care in the world and only comes to the hood when he NEEDS to. fukk all that driving around every neighborhood like you’re the Google Maps car. CAC low key living it like young Avi
I thought that was the route Franklin was gonna take. He did give a speech in the beginning of the season saying he didn't want to deal with low end clientele because he didn't want those problems... I guess he must've forgot.

There was drug rehab but not to the level of sophistication going on now. Plus to your point, crack was a new phenomenon so not enough was known yet. With his money, he could’ve gotten her to a drug rehab. She would’ve been an experimental case tho since she was part of that first wave of fiends.

The spin a round shot when Frank, Leon, and Manboy talking is the dopest take of 2019. You kidding me?

That whole scene was sick, from that shyt to the car scene was fukkin great. On a street level, Franklin absolutely did the right thing to defend Leon in public and reprimand him in private. Leon needed to hear that shyt.

I’ve loved the cinematography on this show. That combined with Franklin’s superb acting and the layered story makes for some refreshing TV.

John posthumously loves it. This show is the best since the Wire... And it's on a cable channel.

Forced me to start writing again. It's that good.

Earlier in the season, i was telling my boy how I didn’t like how cold Franklin was becoming. But didn’t know if that was the acting or the character. Turns out it was the latter because all that shyt came out the last two episodes. Him being so detached, or trying to be detached, all season made those breaks more impactful.

Also, not mad at what happened to him:russ: just because it feels like karma. Obviously he’ll live and find a way to keep going until the show has its endgame, but there was bound to be a cost for all of this
