Ramadan Kareem, brothers and sisters!
Been crazy busy with work so the fasts have been relatively easy. I don't even notice I'm hungry or thirsty until like an hour before iftar. Really just trying to work on my deen... made a lot of progress the last year as far as breaking some bad habits and been praying a lot more, so hopefully I can carry the momentum from Ramadan through the rest of the year IA.
It's wild because I'm never really that hungry when I wake up (probably because I'm still half asleep), but I usually just try to eat things that digest slowly. Another key is to not eat or drink anything that will dehydrate you throughout the day. So obviously things high in sodium aren't good to eat in the morning. I usually eat some eggs, a few dates, and whole wheat toast. The only thing I really drink is water, but try to stay away from sodas or sugary drinks in the morning if you can.
