Thanks everyone. I went to sony's website, logged in and asked an expert and they said using my current USB extended storage to transfer to the new console is fine.

That doesn’t work for PS5 save files. The only access you have to transfer those save files is either PlayStation Plus or a direct system transfer. The PS5 only puts save files on the built in storage that came with the system and won’t use anything else outside of cloud backups which is a paid service.

I had to have my systems on the same network and do a system transfer. I moved all the games to an NvME drive and it was plug and play between systems but still had 16GB of files including saves the system transfer directly from system to system.

I think it wipes your previous system when you do this.

Wow, unbelievable. Finally playing Dragon's Dogma's Pro enhanced since I got a disc drive today. This game looks damn amazing and beautiful, everything looks great, no blurry, improve frame rate, etc
