i think it was a combination of things. Him getting out of the streets was solely tied to Truth. Well, Truth's opening is tied to Angela...so it all shifted during the same time. He also thought he could have a life with Angela, which he couldn't while he remained in the streets. Remember Tasha witnessed his exchange with Angela, so she prob figured that if he was gonna have another, she would at least have the life.
