Why is it necessary for Tariq to go to a good school? Shouldn't he go to an okay school and do an easy major? He needs get a 3.5 GPA. That ain't gonna be easy at a top school.
Is Book 2 going to be about Tariq being a snitch for Saxe in exchange for immunity on the murder charge?
And like everyone else, I also don't understand why they couldn't keep blaming Dre? And him being dead works it their favor. He's not around to defend himself.

Because he don’t want it to be easy for Tariq.
He wants him to go somewhere and apply himself and actually get something out of it.
Also, they couldn’t keep it pinned on Dre cuz key people still didn’t believe it and would’ve still kept on digging.
If it’s one thing that’s been consistent about all 6 seasons of this and a thread I don’t get why some of y’all completely missed out on and keep questioning is how characters constantly always keep digging for shyt they ain’t believe until the truth finally came out.
Hell if everyone believed whatever lie was told in the first place. A lot of the characters would still be alive and over half the shyt that took place would’ve never happened

I didn’t think the will specified that Tariq had to go to a certain school. I thought it was just “get a 4 year degree with a 3.5 GPA.”

I could’ve sworn he had to go to like an Ivy League level school.

Going to another school would mean he has to wait until his real graduation date (in two years) and would have to find a way to pay for it. Going to Stern’s alma mater got him started immediately without having to graduate HS/take the GED and without having to pay. It gets him closer to his inheritance immediately. It’s a hell of a deal for a kid who can’t stay out of the principal’s office for petty crimes.

So Power Book 2 was supposed to debut in June, but because of Wuhan Flu they had to stop filming and now it’s been delayed.
