no damn way Zeke can be her son from age 16 but be 20 years old (at the most). That puts Monet in her mid/late 30s but she doesn’t look it at all. Raq pulls off the teen mom shyt way better and it’s believable — she simply looks the part because she’s actually 37.
Keep the ages realistic and have Monet be in her late 40s or even 50 years old so those kids ages are properly spaced out and then you can bake in the backstories. Say that Lorenzo got locked up, she had the kid with Mecca while he was in the joint and then stashed the baby.
Lorenzo gets out and then they try to be one big happy family for a few years, $ is flowing from the drugs, they have Diana and Dru and Lorenzo gets caught slipping and locked up again. You explain Cane as being Monet’s first son from before Lorenzo and he’s the son of a Unique type dude who got killed yearsssssss before Cane grows up. Lorenzo slides in, takes Cane as his own mostly because he wants to muscle in on the territory the Unique type dude once had.
That also covers why Lorenzo simply tolerates Cane. Keeps the peace in the house, Money is pacified and Cane proves his worth on the streets. At worst he’s a crash test dummy to Lorenzo’s crew.
