Tariq Counselor looks like the better looking, older Sister of Amanda Seales. Episode was better than I expected...it’s kind of like a cheat that there’s a spin-off since you have a fundamental grasp on the story/some characters.

I know people hate Tariq but I'm on it. Gotta see where this goes with Tasha. Who are Mary and Meth? I saw a trailer that had Tariq and this girl after a burial. Hope it's not Tasha.

I'm very interested in seeing where they go with these spin offs. I've missed a few shows this summer (Covid shutdowns) and Power is definitely one I been needing since The Chi been on some other shyt.

I'm all in on this one. Gotta check OP for when it comes out.

mary plays the street famous aunt of the basketball player that Tariq is tutoring at college. Her husband is some Puerto Rican dude who is locked on drug charges. Method Man is Tariq’s new lawyer. They nailed their parts; that’s all I have to say without giving away spoilers. Tariq actually wasn’t too annoying this episode- they introduced the new characters and new sub plots , so he didn’t monopolize the screen time.

Never watched the Chi past the first episode - couldn’t get into it that show.
