I don't know much about producing but would love some feedback.
Just flipped a sample and added a Malcolm X speech to it.

What up? Leaving my potential next single here for an some honest criticism. Got three songs lined up for video promo, but trying to decide which will work best. Any criticism is appreciated, Thanks

The good: That hook is catchy, you've got some good ad-libs, the bass line works well, your voice is cool
Needs work/Not as strong/not sugar coated: I'm not the biggest fan of the beat's high frequency jingles, I think it's like an alien arp or something but it's kinda distracting, which brings me to what I think is the number one thing I noticed but am not for sure, but the way the vocals are EQ'd... I am concentrating on the lyrics, but they seem just a little muddled. They might be recorded fine, but it's either that thye need some compression or they need to have an EQ cut out of the beat... It's not as bad as I just explained by any means, but it's something that stood out to me (it made the verses sound a little slurred even tho I don't think the acapella sounds like that, its like they are dipping under for a second in the instrumental ocean).

I also wasn't the biggest fan of the beat as it didn't seem to smack, but that's a preference thing. I go for a much slower tempo.. And i'm heavily influenced by Currensy boom bap and dusty ass mad lib style lofi tracks. occationally a trap song here or there. I like the sounds you're making tho, if you wanna collab or do a random project I'd be interested in that.

First beat made on ableton, not sure how I like this DAW yet.

caught me listening to it twice... which means it's got great sounds because i have musical ADD. Abelton is so powerful, I'm still learning processes that both speed up my beat making and are easy.

One comment on the track is that my ears wanted some snare variety or something. seems like in trap styled electro beats like this I am expecting a seciton with snaps or claps. but I could even do with like, every 8th snare drop a heavy as shyt cathedral verb on the snare or something. Also something random you can try, drop the ableton Vocoder on some percussion at some point... Don't use presets, just keep it to "noise" and vary the bit rate or whatever, think it comes on 32 or 24, but mess with that for a little high end saturation/scruffiness/interesting. Sounds weird if you haven't tried it, but I almost do it to at least one percussion item in every track now. Or even after a reverb send, interesting and weird sounds

thanks for the input man. Its hard transitioning from fl to ableton for me im still reading and watching videos on tutorials to get more familiarity with the program. Ill try the vocoder I never heard of using it on percussion tho but ill take your word for it.
