when i was there it was poppin and i remember when all star weekend was in the city like in 02' and AI rented it out and threw a party i was cool with security and they hooked it up let me and my boys sneak in through filbert street in a employee doorway ....

Theres some EXCELLENT restaurants there

word i used to live in northern libs.....3rd and fairmount from like 04-06

great restaurants...

North 3rd is tops IMO
ill cantina on 3rd and fairmount great byob family owned italian spot
honey's on 4th and brown got the GOAT brunch for sundays the line be redic!
North 3rd got a good brunch too but silk city on spring garden at that brunch on the low with no wait
PYT in the piazza got great burgers and shakes....theres a good sushi spot accross from the piazza
north bowl is a chill spot food sucks tho'

When I was growing up though, it was THEE place to be. Used to cop all my mixtapes down there in the 90's

Please tell me you are NOT talkin about that spot outisde the gallery that sold mixtapes around 8th and market or something like that?

Naw the spot I copped from was inside the mall, right by the Macy's, it was a little kiosk

I think I remember it...I hardly ever go to the Gallery anymore--maybe once or twice in 10 years, shyt is a graveyard down there now... but was the one that you're talking about on the first floor near the food court?

I was born and raised in philly...and moved to nyc in the late 90s...so alot of this stuff is hazy now.

Man I just realized I am so far removed from my youth...back in the day...circa 1992...Cheltenham Mall and that arcade next to the movies was the spot back on Fridays and Saturdays.

The phat asses ....the arcade with everyone gettin it on in Street Fighter II and NBA Jam ...and using the same movie stub on Friday to get into the same movie on Saturday
