This thread bring back memories :wow:

Was born in Philly, mostly raised in WOL. From Sommers Road / 72nd and Ogontz, my Grandmom still live there, been there almost 50 years.
Also lived in Mt. Airy, Olney, G-town, Glenside for a hot second.
Spent my HS years in S. Jersey / Sicklerville, then went to college in Camden.
Was in NYC since 2014, and now in Pittsburgh last 3 months.
Aint nothing like Philly tho... :banderas: , shyt just feel like home when u there. I'll probably move back at some point.

I heard Cheltenham reopened finally, but it's like a outlet type set up.
Paganos been my cheeseteak spot since a youngin', but they been fell off since it changed ownership.

Murder rate was crazy this year from what I seen. Had some family effected by that shyt too.
Where in Glenside were you at? :myman:

Depending on how far you are from the top of the block where people turn onto the block i'd put cones to block the street......it will prevent dumbasses from turning down the block and getting stuck behind the truck and honking ....cause when 1 turns like 5 more cars are not far behind. Block it off like a block party and move in peace...most people when they see cones just keep it moving and don't really investigate especially if it's a small street

In the Silver Lining
In gentrifying Philly, speculators pay heirs peanuts — then flip their properties for massive gains

Two young black men flipping properties in Philly have made $4 million.

They getting folks to sell property for 6K or 14K then flipping a few days later to sell at over 100K.

Is this problematic coooning (we know the folks they finessing look like them, almost guaranteed) or just young entrepreneurial black men self empowering themselves through American style capitalism? :jbhmm:
