Been here since season 1. Season 4 part 1 is heat. If i had to rank it it’d be: S2=S3>S4P1=S1. That’s today though. I can switch it around at anytime because the show imo has been very consistent in quality.
The acting on this gets overlooked every season.
Wendy lives for that tit for tat shyt. This season she went full fukkery mode.
Can’t wait for part 2 series finale hopefully later this year.

I'd assume since Darlene isn't the biological mother...and being that she only had him for like a year and all the custody hearings...paired with how she went out...him being handed down anything from the Snells is a long shot.

Yeah Javi just a straight up plot device to raise the stakes. He’s educated and went to American schools he would know bombing a FBI task force would be a straight up death wish or max sentence in ADX. You’re not scaring the Feds into obedience lolThey tried way too hard with Javi's character IMO. They wanted him to be this ruthless cartel general, but everything he did was clearly over the top and forced. A complete fan service character through and through.
He was doing stupid shyt and there were no consequences. Dumbass staying at Helen's place and then bodies a sheriff because of it
Then to double down on the stupidity, he goes back to the house and has Marty clean up the crime scene? Like why? shyt was stupid as hell. Also, don't call me an expert on this, but I'm assuming a fukking police officer's car has GPS or some kind of tracking tech it's equipped with. Either the vehicle itself or the devices/computers inside of it. Any detective looking into his disappearance would easily be able to see where the car was before he disappeared.
There's a fine line between entertainment, fukkery and just ridiculous writing for these crime dramas. Ozark lost it's balance in S3 which is disappointing because it started out a lot better overall.

Darlene had no goons. She's running a million dollar heroin business, beefing with the KC mob and the cartel, and had no f*cking goons. Just her and Wyatt and a shotgun
Darlene partner up with the KC Mob for muscle. She literally only had some hillbillies processing the dope. We didn't see any generals. shyt is stupid
