An OK finale doesn't make up for what was an appalling first 4 episodes. Even episode 5 had some moments that were 
This was not a great show, the fight choreography was a lot better than that dusty fight they had earlier in the season but still lacking. The music in the finale was all over the place. Don't get me started on the Reva and Luke nonsense.
If this show had a fully solid script this could have been something special. I'm shocked they went into production with a script so lacklustre. But Kathleen Kennedy has been an awful leader on this franchise.
I do hope they leave it here though. They've already stretched things with the Leia and Obi-wan stuff.
It's nonsense like that why they should avoid going back to this stuff.

the fact that not once but twice Obi-wan didn't finish Vader off is one of the dumbest things ever.
It's nonsense like that why they should avoid going back to this stuff.

Tbh, they've fukked up things so bad that they should do stand alone stories that aren't in their updated EU. Like base thrawn on one/some of those epic books. I"m just saying there's no in-story justification for Obi-Wan letting him go again. It was basically PIS (plot induced stupidity). They wrote it in a way where the protagonist had to do something that didn't really make sense just to fit canon. They could have done something like have Palpatine/Inquisitors show up to help Vader (forcing Obi-Wan to flee) instead of just having Obi-Wan let him go.

Anakin is still fighting Obi-wan. Obi-wan is worried about Luke restoring balance. He only came out of retirement to save Leia.
Anakin acting like that dude still mad about a loss 20 years ago while you have moved on with a wife and kids. It just seems kinda pathetic.

If every start wars got judged with modern eyes it wouldn’t have made it past episode iv
Not to mention that thematically, this whole shyt with jedis is basically realizing that violence and light saber duels is not the wave. Remember in the end it's not Luke who defeats Palpatine, Vader/Annakin still restores the balance in the end. Jedis don't kill unless absolutely pressed.

disney should have been given the star wars keys to jon favreau. he more than proved himself with the 2 season of mando being the best thing star wars has done since being acquired by disney.
