Fair enough - my expectation is that with good producers behind him, he puts out something comparable to IWW/Stillmatic. My question was about the snippets - I am at work and can't listen. All I see is a lot of Nas stans going crazy and I was trying to cut through it.

The reality is no one is expecting Nas to drop his best album. not going to happen. But he will drop a dope album.

In terms of subject matter I don't think it's like either of those. It seems more like the approach he took to GS/SD; he's just going on about his life in general. There might be a problem with R&B-ish hooks but I can only tell with some of those, I don't know what the Buckwild hook will sound like.

The bonus tracks sound amazing though; it would def. be worth it to get the deluxe. I haven't heard "Trust", which is the iTunes bonus, yet.

His flow sounds as good as ever. There's no worries on his own songwriting skills. Those hooks by MJB/Swizz/Miguel/Anthony Hamilton aren't very good though. I can't believe I'm typing this, but it sounds like the CACs on "Cherry Wine" and "Roses" really ended up coming through, which seems unusual on a Gnarz album.

The Intro's beat sounds pretty terrible though. He needs to stay away from JUSTICE League. Sounds even worse than "Lift Off". :scusthov:

Cherry Wine sounds like a classic brehs. Nas and Amy need a full album.:ohlawd:

Also calling it now that Queens Story will be the best song.

I can understand wanting to throw the MJB & Swizz hooks in the bushes, but that Anthony Hamilton hook is piff.

"Cherry Wine" sounds like such a huge improvement over "Like Smoke". I can't believe I expected it to be kinda wack, but that snippet :to:

Don't even know what that song will sound like. It might end up good, but the beat seemed rather thin. Guess I'll have to wait until the leak. I never was a big fan of Nas + Random R&B singer collabs. There are some exceptions (the two he did with Keon Bryce, IIRTW, American Way, the Street Dreams remix, etc.), but I think it just ends up as a huge distraction from his voice and presence. :yeshrug:

I was going to post the same right before your post popped up. Anthony Hamilton killed it. I can tell it will be a personal favorite. From early reviews, apparently, Nas rips that track. And I actually like the MJB hook too. Takes me back to the 90's.
