Nas Joins Dave Chappelle In NYC [Video]
NEWS, VIDEO, Nas

» by Chris Thomas (@ChrisThomas266) Jun 24 2014, 9:00am

“Special” is the only way to describe Dave Chappelle, who’s been making crowds belly-laugh for consecutive nights at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall since Thursday, June 19. But the tide changed yesterday, as the comedian began a string of shows that include musical guests with the legendary Nas.

While Kanye West’s surprise appearances was, well, a surprise, the Queensbridge poet’s set was pre-contrived, and provided a balance to Chappelle’s often Hip-Hop themed sets. The hometown crowd rocked enjoyed live performances of fan-favorite cuts, including “New York State of Mind” from Nas’ classic debut album, Illmatic.

Watch footage from Nas’ time on stage below. Let us know if you’ll be attending any of the remaining shows featuring the likes of The Roots and Erykah Badu in the comments.
