Slow Movin was the one I remember from last year with the Page Six line lol.
I need Slow Movin and Yellow Bird man.......Yellow bird sounds next level

It's crazy that Nas didn't put these on Lost Tapes 2, I wonder why, but he put shyt like No Bad Energy and Who Are You.

I would have taken off Adult Film, Who Are You, and You Mean the World to Me and put in Crabs in a Barrel, Yellow Bird and Slow Movin'.

Lost Tapes 2 has zero Columbia/Sony era songs because its comprised of all his Def Jam era material (Hip Hop is Dead-Nasir) Nas has stated that the Sony material will not be released in any capacity.

Do you remember your first reaction when you first heard this?

I was literally Speechless :dead: :wow:

The first Magic album in general was the most pleasantly surprising out of nowhere album drop ever on Christmas Eve

I remember seeing him post it on Instagram on Christmas Eve and I originally just scrolled past it quick thinking he was dropping a song on a soundtrack or something because he didn’t mention anything about a new album

Did he ever say why? That's some of his best stuff and what people wanna hear.

I thought Nas owns all of his master's now, so he could put any of his past songs he wants to on a Lost Tapes part 3.

Excitement is in the air. Can’t wait for that thread to start with the title of the album and us going insane with a couple within the first two minutes saying it’s a classic and the other half saying it’s trash. They wish alchemist would have produced it instead. Either way, shyt be good times. Nas fans and haters and stans be outta control during that first week.

According to the plug chick from a few years ago, Nas owns some, but not ALL of the Masters to his Columbia/Sony catalogue (Illmatic-Streets Disciple) I don’t know which albums except that he doesn’t own Illmatic Masters quite yet (he will in 2028 when the 35 year rule goes into effect)

He owns all of the Masters for the albums on Mass Appeal (Kings Disease-Magic 3)

If he was going to put out a Lost Tapes 3 it would make more sense to do so with the inevitable leftovers from the Hit-Boy sessions since he can do what he wants with them.

I agree. He said on Drink champs the Sony stuff "will stay lost". I believe it's because he doesn't own the the Sony stuff, doesn't have free reign and is determined not to make money for Sony anymore. Can someone post the LosT tapes 2 release party impromptu speech, when he talked about Lost Tapes 3? The one where he talked about Lost Tapes 3 having features. That time period was obviously before he made tons of music with Hit Boy. What music was he referring to, for Lost Tapes 3, at the time of that clip? It couldn't have been Sony era. What def jam era, unreleased music do we know of with Nas and another rapper?

Association
The Scientist w/ Jay Z ( I hope they release it w/o Jay Z)

I can't think of anything else.

Is there context to this? Nothing was even announced except there's seven albums from seven legends :jbhmm:

Teaser is still on Nas and Mass Appeal social media pages.

He might be saying the information from Reddit is off. The guy on Reddit that’s been reliable up to this point is the one that leaked the artists involved plus some titles and release dates.

I think its the leak from the guy on Reddit saying that the 7 artists are Ghost, Rae, Big L, De La, Slick Rick, Mobb Deep and Nas & Preme.

My guess is that there is no Big L album. I had reservations when that was first leaked out because I HIGHLY doubt Big L has enough fresh material for an entire album. So that means there’s another artist we don’t yet know about.

By connecting, you agree to receive email communications from Slick Rick, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, Big L, Nas, Dj Premier, De La Soul, MASS APPEAL, and The Orchard.

It says Big L on the mailing list site.

Ah well there we go then.

My guess then would be that maybe the release dates and album titles are wrong. I could see Ghost changing the Supreme Clientele Part 2 title to something else that wouldn’t evoke such high expectations. Also the release date for Slick Rick could be wrong. There’s been no promo except for the teaser so dropping a comeback album for a legend like Ricky D in a WEEK’s time with no promo doesn’t seem like the best recipe for success.
