The World, but from BK
I really wish Nas would do some kinda concert or perform some songs from Life is Good, but I realize it was a timepiece for what he was going thru in life at the time and might be kinda emotional to revisit.

I saw him live in 2013 and he performed some Life Is Good cuts, he actually ended with Stay instead of his usual One Mic

Also in 2019 I saw him live on a double bill with Erykah Badu and he came out to No Introduction and also performed Da Don. I noticed sometimes he’ll throw in the first verse of Da Don or he’ll do Daughters. He hasn’t completely forgotten about Life Is Good the way he has Hip Hop Is Dead or Untitled

Yeah 2012 -2013 he was doing Life is Good songs during concerts, after that I don't remember hom doing those songs anytime I saw him, and it's been many times. Hiphop is Dead can be omitted during concerts. I loved Untitled, but the vibe won't translate good in concert.

I think I do remember him performing Cherry Wine at a concert I saw him at within the last few years though.

Hip Hop Is Dead has some great concert cuts though. The title track, Let There Be Light, Carry On Tradition. I would have LOVED seeing him and Snoop perform. Play On Playa at least once.

I agree about the vibe of Untitled not being that great for concerts, even though its my personal favorite Nas album. I think joints like Breathe and Hero could still ring off at concerts but Nas’s catalogue is so deep it probably doesn’t make “sense” for him to cuts like that over Hate Me Now, Thief's Theme, Made You Look, etc

He performed The Don when I saw him on the tour with Wu. The only albums i haven’t seen him do anything from is HHID and Untitled.

If it was up to y'all son would perform 3+ hour sets :mjlol: . His catalog is so ridiculously deep you can't everything in. Most unexpected song I've seen him perform was Project Windows in STL on tour with Mary. My girl give me the:wtf: "Is really doing Project Windows":heh:

Yall are fukking crazy

Greatest album in hip hop history NEEDS TO BE CELEBRATED FOR ITS 30TH. These are milestones that stand out, it's the magnum opus of the genre, of the culture, of everything.

We should throw a fukking listening party in this thread on the date regardless of anything, ILLMATIC is FOREVER
🫡, facts. Humans are weird tho…when something gets too too acclaimed and too too revered they naturally fake wanna start swaying away from the consensus sentiment just on some rebellious type shh…shh is corny. IWW is not better than Illmatic…98% of rap albums shouldn’t even be argued as possibly better than Illmatic, imo.

And as far as the orchestra…when I saw him a couple years ago in VA he was performing with the orchestra but Green Lantern was up there the whole time still cuttin and finishing bars and doing what he does on the DJ side so yeah, it’s not what a few of you are thinking it is, shh still felt madd hip hop
