I know it was the 30 year anniversary and all but Im kinda tired of celebratin Illmatic bros....

Wish the same energy would go into celebrating IWW, the drama behind I AM, or his comeback Stillmatic and the Jay beef......

Illmatic has been done to death already sorry to say

Just like with Wu Tang and 36 Chambers......give me more Wu-Tang Forever love

naw, I want this album to be talked for 30 more years.

I get what you saying, but Nas deserves every bit of being celebrated

You right he does, but when it was the 25th anniversary of IWW a few years back in 2021, it wasn't really talked about much. Same with I AM a few days ago being it's 25th anniversary.

I really hope they come out with that documentary about the making of I AM and how it was bootlegged, and Nas had to re-record songs, etc.

Like Illmatic is cool, but let's show some love to ther other anniversaries too like IWW and Stillmatic

Best believe when nas goes to qb he's with hood cats to ensure nothing happens

way back in the day when I was seeing this girl in QB, im guessing Nas was there earlier that day- you would have thought Jesus was in the hood
NOW- these lil new nikkas may not have that same respect but the old heads aint fukkin with God Son

The money he probably gets from illmatic is something he would be a fool to turn down.

it’s not even his highest selling album or the album with his biggest hits…

nikka should’ve celebrated the 25 year anniversary of I AM, or Stillmatic in couple years

The Plug chick said that about a year ago. Says these festivals would come offering Nas stupid money to perform Illmatic, he’d turn them down and they would just double their offer.

The man literally had no choice lol. The demand was that great

But now that he’s got both the Kings Disease and Magic series under his belt and they were so well received I don’t see him going back to Illmatic-only tours any time soon. When I saw him on the Wu tour the new material got great response and the Madison Square Garden Kings Disease show was a huge success.

Yall are fukking crazy

Greatest album in hip hop history NEEDS TO BE CELEBRATED FOR ITS 30TH. These are milestones that stand out, it's the magnum opus of the genre, of the culture, of everything.

Am already a bit disappointed that the hip hop 50th ep series stopped after the Swizzie one, I need NaS to come through with something for April 18th.

We should throw a fukking listening party in this thread on the date regardless of anything, ILLMATIC is FOREVER

While I agree I've been saying for years IWW deserved a tour or something. Illmatic is iconic it deserves every bit of love it gets

He has some orchestra shows coming up this summer that is only illmatic I believe. But overall I think you are right.
