Lol I have NO idea why people think it would be Lost Tapes 3 when more than likely there are NO Lost Tapes to put out. FIVE albums in 3 years means there’s probably very very little scraps left on the cutting room floor, i’d be shocked if there were 8-9 songs in the Mass Appeal vault after the run Nas and Hit have been on and Nas has already stated the Sony vaults are staying shut so what material would he have for LT3 at this point?
We’ll probably get Lost Tapes 3 further down the line at this point unless Nas decides he wants to do business with Def Jam again (not likely) and we get songs like Sinatra In The Sand, The Scientist, White Man’s Paper, NY Stomp, and maybe some of the joints he was working on with Timbaland in 2015.
Speaking of Timbaland i’m actually surprised none of that work ended up on Lost Tapes 2 now that I think on it.
Nas confirmed a Lost Tapes 3 and 4 at the listening party for Lost Tapes 2. I could see a finale if he announced that a Lost Tapes 3 would be the last of the Lost Tapes series. It would make sense as we're not likely getting anything pre- Def Jam. The last one dropped in conjunction with Def Jam and Mass Appeal, so this could put a cap on everything Def Jam as well as a way to clear those vaults. It also serves as bookend to this era of his career as Lost Tapes 2 bridged the gap between his last era and this one. It was the first time we had a Hit Boy track on a Nas album and then we got the Nas/Hit Boy era.
Last, it falls in line with rumors that the next Nas album wouldn't feature HitBoy production. And although it probably doesn't mean anything, it's kind of crazy of how that three year old footage of Nas and Dre just resurfaced again and people reacting to it like it was new.
This is all just me speculating.
His son kind of lame for not wanting to do ANY songs from Nastradamus based on media hype and narrative and shyt.
How convenient. lol. To not wanna cover ANY song off it bro? Nah. lol.I’ve been watching their reactions for a min (and Bridging The Gap, which is way better) and he’s actually a fan of Nas and has said many times before (mostly in the comments) that he simply doesn’t like Nastradamus and that he’s listened to it several times front to back to see of his mind would change and it never has

I mean its not the craziest take in the world. I’m the biggest Nas fan on earth and I only listen to 2, maybe three songs off Nastradamus.

Objectively speaking Family is a good song, I just don’t listen to it often and I only rock U Owe Me if I got a chick in the whip lol. It goes hard at his concerts though
Those are all time Nas songs tho. I think the take is goofy imo. Even his take on I Am was off base. I’m kinda tired of the revisionist history when it comes to that shyt. And in reality. People were hype as fukk off Hate Me Now. Nas Is Like was considered amazing but Hate Me Now is the first song Flex ever dropped bombs on.I mean its not the craziest take in the world. You know those aren’t bad points at all but I feel like if we were getting Lost Tapes 3 the marketing angle would be a bit different, and I also don’t think Nas would officially “end” the Lost Tapes series BUT your right, it would technically be a loophole to release some fresh non-Hit Boy songs for all of the whiners out there while he keeps cooking official releases with Hit. My take is i’m not sure there’s enough leftover material thats NOT Def Jam vaulted to release a LT3 at THIS juncture. I don’t get the feeling Nas would want to work with Def Jam again after experiencing the freedom that comes with doing whatever he wants (and reaping the majority of the royalties) on Mass Appeal. I know Nas said himself that Lost Tapes 3 would come sooner, and that it would have lots of features, but that was well before the Hit Boy run.
