NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
She never said he was depressed but he damn sure ain’t pleased with it. Why is that so hard to comprehend? Y’all talk about her but yet take things personal as well. if you do your part then great. But don’t act like what she is saying don’t have validation bc it does. One would think the real ones would be bigger the way this forum carries on for days about nothing. The real
ones spend more days discussing producers he should work with on an album not released yet than streaming his albums already released on streaming platforms.

By the way Nas releases bc he does has obligations to his own label/business. Why would he spend money on promo to produce the same results? By the way those big artists cost money as well. That’s smart business 101. But anyway I’m wasting my time here.
Look. Nas has an older fan base for the most part who doesn’t sit around streaming all day. Let alone the fact that he releases these albums with barely any promo and the one that had the most promo and the biggest features guess what? Sold the most. When u get these features it’s to produce a return on investment. Eminem being on KD2 definitely helped sell that shyt. I know Nas fans who don’t even know when some of these releases came out. Cause he will just drop that he’s releasing shyt on his IG like a week before. Not do much promo or interviews. And shyt. He still sells more than Alotta people who have hit singles on the radio. Criticizing his fan base is silly af.

20-30k is about what you can expect from core Nas fans. So if this is going to be another project that comes like a thief in the night with no promo and no features I don't think anyone should expect more than that and the street team shouldn't criticize the fans. IMO there is no better way to maximize the return on his investment from these projects than to bring in an A-lister or two to help put the spotlight on his work. Collaborations don't just help with sales, they are fun for listeners. Think of all the collabs that could have happened in the past that didn't. He missed out on the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill recording sessions, didn't get to record with Pac before he died, "should have did the remix verse on Gimme the Loot for Biggie", why not tap in to today's highly regarded guys? Don't him and Kendrick share a manager? Certain things make too much sense and I dont get the pushback to the idea.

The voice of the Nas street team is a chick that can barely string together two coherent thoughts with a couple thousand followers on twitter. Again, the voice of the Nas street team has an audience of under 3k people. Features obviously would move the needle in the sales conversation more than her bytching on twitter begging working people to make posters to promote the album or follow these intricate methods of streaming - and that's coming from someone that supports every Nas project with his wallet.
All facts.

Would be interesting to hear more from high ups in Mass Appeal on what they aim to achieve sale wise and what the actual sales are

As if I’m being honest, I personally don’t see much effort happen. IG posts just ain’t enough and really that’s all that’s done bar a few articles. And you have to remember, with the algorithms, having 6m followers doesn’t mean anything lot of time. Only those who engage heavily with Nas I.e his biggest fans see the content come up on their feed all the time.

KD3 for example had fairly minimal marketing. Based on that I don’t personally believe Nas gives a huge fukk to push crazy. Whcih all cool to me.

I know Nas not a big fan of interviews but doing the podcast circuit would generate massive buzz. Nas got the bars to go up and do a freestyle somewhere. The vet Nas showing the new generation he can go toe to toe with anyone would make huge noise

Ultra Black and Rare great songs but not gonna generate crazy buzz. And Magic and KD3 didn’t even have a song to make some noise pre release.

For example having Nobody with Lauryn as a single and hyping up that would have been good for interest. Or Em being on a new song rather than a remix. As mentioned Kendrick on a single a simple win. And no shame in using others for buzz. BP3s huge success for Jay was partially because of the features (Kanye, Rihanna and Alicia Keys)

But the above a moot point if Mass Appeal aren’t aiming for bigger sales. As to me the last 4 roll ours don’t suggest they are.

No sir, lol. I live on the east coast. That was probably someone that came from oversees I imagine.

I think a Nas X Drake X Cole X Kendrick are due for a track. If he got one of them on a lead single it would blow. I also wonder if any one of them would charge Nas. I know it’s a business so maybe, but they are all super fans of him so maybe not. Also I think even the Nas and Weeknd’s team is pretty closed. Imagine a record with Nas X Drake X Weeknd with as lead summer record and Video. Song would probably go number 1. The rest of the songs could really be solo missions off that alone.

Right now the most trending Nas posts on Twitter are Ice T and Yayo talking about Nas on drink champs. Not any murmurings of a new album on the way. Mass Appeal could do a lot more to drive talk online if they really wanted to
This is what the so call fans do mostly is TALK!
