Hit-Boy was on Too Short's Sirius show yesterday and confirmed that him and Nas are working on the next one. We pretty much already knew that but now we know it again.
KD3 is their best work imo. The album is incredible to me (and I hold the rest of their work in high regard).
IDK I'm always going to lean towards the pissy hallway Nas sound. It's that sound that made me a fan in the first place. KD2 has some insane highs but Magic takes me back to the project days plus his rapping on there
If you told me this was 96 98 era unreleased Nas I would believe you
With KD3 is just so damn consistent when the biggest complaint is "That song isn't better than the one I played before it's still really good" across 17 fukking songs in 2022 is damn near unheard of. Especially for someone who been in the game for 30 years & 49
"Death Row East" really is one of the best songs out of the entire series. KD2 as a whole is still crazy:
Death Row East
Store Run
Rare
Nobody
Count Me In
Composure (underrated)
^^^ these are just the standouts.
KD3 is their best work imo. The album is incredible to me (and I hold the rest of their work in high regard).
Agreed on Magic. It’s the best project of the 4 followed very closely by KD3. I get preference or whatever but KD3 is easily the best of the KD projects and it was painfully obvious during the show. Like the entire MSG concert was uphill, meaning it got better and better as the night went along.
Magic>KD3>>>KD2>>>>>>>KD1
I'm honestly surprised u don't rate Magic higher.KD3
KD2
Magic
KD1

Speaking of Distant Relatives. That album is so ahead of its time. Especially now that the afrobeats/dancehall fusion wave is going crazy right now. That album would've did numbers if dropped right now imo. And would be far more appreciated.Magic is straight bars. I’ve ALWAYS been more of a fan of Nas as an artist than Nas as a straight spitter. Death Row East, Rare, Store Run, Moments, Composure, Nobody, My Bible, Nas Is Good. THATS the greatest of MC of all time because nobody has the perspective or the ability to tell a story or the eye for detail that Nas does. Its why Untitled is my personal favorite Nas album. Its why It Was Written>>>>>Illmatic for me. Its why I bump Distant Relatives at least twice a month for the past 12 years.
KD2 and Magic are their best work and for me its not particularly close
Is there a replay of this interview?Hit-Boy was on Too Short's Sirius show yesterday and confirmed that him and Nas are working on the next one. We pretty much already knew that but now we know it again.
