I notice Magic is developing a kind of cult following like Lost Tapes.

it's because both joints got a certain mystique to them. no promo, barely no feats, short, pretty dark and melancholic and their covers are dope. The way they got dropped feels like leftovers joint but got the consistency of a thought project. it's like they are a hidden treasure srictly for the fans. I actually went to a nas show last summer and I discussed with a guy I met there he didn't even knew magic was out

It's maybe my favorite hb nas collab slightly other kd3.

nas' detractors tryin to retract themselves is hilarious :mjlol:

Elliott Wilson is one of those people that may have originally been a Nas fan, but is much more of a wave rider than real fan. He was on the Jay wave way before Jay blew up. He gave Jay Z his first magazine cover with the debut issue of XXL magazine, which Jay shared with Master. This brings me to my next point, after CMR blew up, he started taking shots at No Limit and Master P even though he was on the No Limit wave when they were hot.

It's the same thing he did with Nas. He took shots at Nas during the I Am and Nastradamus phase of Nas's career. He took Jay's side in the beef while downplaying Nas when Stillmatic/Lost Tapes/God's Son dropped. He hopped back on the Nas bandwagon when Jay retired and even moreso when Nas and Jay squashed the beef. He HAD to do this because he saw that those Nas covers did numbers for XXL. G-Unit, Nas, Kanye, Wayne, Jay, Eminem, Dr. Dre, T.I., and Jeezy were the only artists getting covers at one point.

Could you believe even my shadow's jealous
My skin is mad at my flesh, my flesh hates my own bones
My brain hates my heart, my heart makes the songs
Though my songs come from the father
I'm lonely
Hold me, it's gettin' darker

But it all revolve around, fame and shorties
Stuck for your bling, stripped for your chain, the same story
From, Czechoslovakia to Texas metropolis
Them, treacherous rocksters in the Mexican mafias

:wtf: was this nikka on during those Stillmatic sessions. Nas with something to prove:wow::whew:

Elliot admitted that the XXL Nas cover with him burning copies of The Source was one of the biggest selling issues they put out

good point on the album covers. Even if sub consciously I feel album covers can help or hinder a perception of an album.

Magic album cover probably along with God's Son my favourite Nas album cover since the Illmatic to Nastradamus QB projects covers

Not gonna lie, I hate the album cover for KD3.

Covers play a part on the perception of an album. Ironically. Nastradamus and Nasir are both nas' worst covers.
Kings Disease cover is ill, I wish they kept the girl who did it for the 2 and 3
